Hello Community,
I have the following problem. I want to install a new operating system on my smartphone, so far so good.
Now the following problem has arisen: I cannot establish a connection between my PC and the phone via Fastboot for flashing. When I try to connect to the phone via a command in the terminal, I get the following message: “Wait for Device,” which means there is no existing connection.
The default settings (OEM unlocking, USB tethering are enabled) are correct. I connected the phone to the PC using the original USB-C cable, and the phone is displayed in Explorer. I can also open the smartphone's folder.
Unfortunately, it does not establish a connection to the phone. It is a Pixel 9a; see below for more detailed information.
I suspect it is due to Fastboot, as an older version 28 is installed and, according to the manufacturer of the smartphone's operating system, I need version 35. Unfortunately, Fastboot cannot be updated, or rather, after the update, the following message is displayed: “Fastboot is up to date.”
Can anyone help me here? How can I update Fastboot? What am I doing wrong?
