The new design language will come once Google implements it in AOSP. Since they didn't release QPR1 to AOSP yet - we can't know as of right now. The whole situation is pretty funky at the moment.
About kernel not breaking LSPosed - maybe, maybe not. Elevating privileges is discouraged on GrapheneOS since it opens wide security gaps in the system and thus kind of defeats the purpose of a security-centric OS. Any kind of rooting or leveraging adb is entirely on you, so don't expect support if something breaks. If you are specifically looking for such modifications in an alternative OS, GrapheneOS might not be the one for you.
