Can I backup an eSIM

Hi all,

Pixel 9a and I want to stay with grapheneOS -- but, I am running into problems with Verizon's Visible app. It need he playstore which I installed and I am still being refused progress in setting up the eSIM.

If I restore the original google ROM I am sure all the problems will go away to configure the eSIM. If I can back up the eSIM then put GOS back on, can I restore the backed-up eSIM into GOS.

I seem to recall seeing something like "backup eSIM" recently but no idea where that was.

There is no need. Installing GrapheneOS does not erase previously installed eSIMs.

I installed eSIM on stock Pixel, then installed GrapheneOS and the eSIM was still there and working.

I can now confirm that having just done the same thing. In fact the Visible trial is also working OK without the Visible app. I'll need the app to sign up for the full service, but for now I am having speed issues with the hotspot.

Given that I am trialing Visible to get rid of the expensive satellite, hotspot speed is an important thing. Visible claims there is no limit and should be good for 4K streaming.

Maybe the speed issue is the phone but it persists even after dropping AOSP and installing GOS with the eSIM intact.

Thanks to both, it is a free trial of V, so will try it out tonight for the Home Theater and if all works well, will install GOS again. If I lose the eSIM I can just put AOSP back on again and dedicate the 9a to just streaming for the HT. It is going to cut the satellite bill in half.

It will be interesting what speeds we get. Might even have to keep the satellite. {gasp}

hardtimes Just to be clear, "AOSP" is not the same thing as Google's stock Pixel OS. Recently Google removed support for Pixels from AOSP, so it is not particularly likely that your device has ever run AOSP.
