AccJustForThat there's no need to be condescending. @DeletedUser379 seems to be trying to help by providing own thoughts, knowledge, and experience on some of the issues you are facing, just like the rest of us. Just because someone already answered one of your concerns, doesn't mean another shouldn't or can't respond to the same comment.
DeletedUser379 4. I am happy that many features are missing
AccJustForThat 4. Aha never was the question
It was literally one of your remarks in the OP:
AccJustForThat Many other Google Pixel features are still missing. That's pretty misfortune, because this OS is exactly for expensive pixel devices.
GrapheneOS is not a clone of Stock Google OS with security and privacy features added. GrapheneOS is a hardened open source fork of AOSP focused on security and privacy. There is a big difference, and AOSP is missing many UI/UX features from Stock as well as other common features.
DeletedUser379 5. I think it's a very very good thing that graphene os is updated frequently.
- I never had any problem with the touch slide gestures after updates.
- I don't think that your device is fine.
AccJustForThat 5. I never wrote that updates are bad, but they are frequent and the usability gets worse. Like after the "we comment a existing feature out of the gallery". So I just ask if more of such brain moves happen.
- I stated that they occure after 200h+ runtime not after update.
- I think you can't read.
Again, your not taking into account that @DeletedUser379 is sharing his thoughts and knowledge on the matter. I agree with him on #5 & #6 that consistent regular updated are beneficial and essential for security and privacy, and that I have yet to experience the same issues that you are - which is the exact point we are trying to make. To help narrow down by user input if any other user is facing the same issues you face, and I've so, how to solve it.
In your case, I have similar thoughts with @DeletedUser379 on #7 that we think the issue might be with your device (Pixel 8 pro). Potentially it could be a hardware issue.
matchboxbananasynergy This isn't at all normal - not just needing to reboot, but the "hiccups" you're talking about. I mentioned above that there might be hardware issues at play here, and this makes me thing that might be the case even more. Did you use the stock OS on that device at all, or did you flash GrapheneOS right away? If you used stock, how long did you use it for, and did you notice any issues on it?
