Best way to install Google Camera with minimum minimum google requirement

Hello, usually i had installed google camera on a secondary profile
But for now i would like to be able to have google camera in my primary profile but with the less compromission possible
I've heard of the gcam modified app but it need microG

What would be the best setup to be able to use the google camera with the less compromission in your opinion ? Or the different option ?

Gebdax in general, i wouldn't recommend installing modified apps. Also microG has no better privacy or security than Sandboxed Google Play Services. You can install Pixel Camera through Play Store and keep the network permission disabled for the app.

Gebdax Pixel Camera works in profiles without Google Play installed, but I believe some AI features won't be available without Play or Play Services for AR if I remember correctly.

Gebdax "Sandboxed" is a term to describe that Google Play Services won't be installed as a system app but as a user app. More about it here: https://grapheneos.org/features#sandboxed-google-play

As an aside, if you want to avoid Google Photos you can use GphotosShim https://github.com/CaramelFur/GPhotosShim to use your own photo gallery app.

Google gallery (com.google.android.apps.photosgo, NOT google photos!) w/o network permission is not that bad, to my opinion.
It has some basic editing capabilities and doesn't want to be connected to google cloud so much.

I cannot comment about "secure" part but i'm not sure what could it do wrong w/o data connection.

Gebdax I have a dedicated Photo profile. I manually installed the original Camera and Photos from apk (no Google Play). All other apps are inactive on this profile. Camera and Photos do not have any access to the network or permission to run in the background. Additionally, I have ExifEraser installed on this profile. I copy photos to USB directly from this profile. It works very well. I do not plan to update these apps, because they are offline, and they work very well as they are now.

Gebdax you can use Image Toolbox (https://github.com/T8RIN/ImageToolbox) for basic image editing.
