Hi all,
I currently use Fedora as my daily driver. However, I would like to have a desktop OS that offers the compartmentalisation android user profiles provide. So, I am considering switching to QubesOS as my daily driver.
I am in the process of buying a new laptop so I am considering buying one that's compatible with QubesOS. However, I don't want to waste money on a 8-32GB RAM laptop if the OS becomes too difficult to use as a daily driver. I feel like I am well aware of the benefits so I'm trying to understand what the downsides/problems are. Can anyone tell me if they are using or have used it as a daily driver and what their experience was? If you used it and abandoned it I would love to know why and what you switched to.
If it helps, I would like different VMs for work, personal, untrusted downloads, email alias 1, email alias 2, email alias 3, email alias 4, email alias 5. The email VMs would be whonix ones and I would only be accessing my emails (simultaneously) the majority of the time.
Any help from users/ex-users would be greatly appreciated
