Olauncher and Private Space

Just wondering if anyone uses Olauncher here? I really like that minimalist aesthetic from the pictures. I am trying to use my phone way less almost make it a dumb dumbphone (greyscale, no social media, just communication apps) but I thought I head it doesn’t have private space capabilities. If that is the case is there a minimalist launcher with that capability?

Try μLauncher from Accrescent app store. Very minimal but still packed with features.

You're link seems to be a fork of μLauncher (which is a fork of https://github.com/finnmglas/Launcher - which -sidenote- hasn't received updates for quite a while and doesn't support Private Space, for example).

Are there any benefits of the fork you mentioned?

At a quick glance I couldn't figure out any difference and μLauncher itself links to https://github.com/jrpie/Launcher

Private Space can be accessed via one of the many freely assignable swipe gestures or via a lock symbol in the launcher settings.

If you are looking for widgets, the launcher may not suit you - maybe you want to have a look at its design:

There is a padlock you tap and it will then populate your list with your private space apps.
Tap again and it locks.

Murcielago I hate having to swipe through the app list to one I use frequently, but haven't figured out how to add a shortcut to a private space app. I understand now ulauncher isn't it but it's very interesting I might try it either way.

There are options to hide apps and/or mark them as favorites (you could only display your favorite apps by pressing the little star for example) - it works the same way with apps installed in Private Space.

Icons from apps in Private Space are only displayed while Private Space is unlocked. You can recognize them by a small Private Space badge on the respective icon.

(You didn't ask but: You can also rename apps - which I personally find a handy feature.)

OK! Both pieces of information are totally helpful. I won't write it off straight away then.

Maybe you also know... There are two apps I have widgets for, but mostly I prefer the value being in the notification bar next to the time. Example my grandkids CGM value, it uses a persistent notification and seems more stable on GOS than on stock. Stock android the notification always dies and I need the widget as backup.
TMI. Does that aspect of ulauncher still work the same? I couldn't tell from the photos.

The status bar can be displayed in μLauncher: Launcher settings> Launcher> Hide status bar> toggle off.

The launcher does not add any changes to the status bar itself (AFAIK) so that icons, that show up in GrapheneOS standard launcher, are also visible in μLauncher.
