Play Service battery usage and location tracking

Hi,

Is there a way to stop Play Service checking the location regularly ?

It's consuming a significant amount of battery. And it is probably reporting locations to Google services, too.

Yes, but for me Google Maps (for example) won't get location too. Right ?

Or GrapheneOS have re-implemented providing location to apps too ?

Megagolgoth go to settings > apps > sandboxed google play, and turn on "reroute location requests to the OS. Then turn off google play services location permission.
