DeletedUser237 stirring the water due to he Israeli background of wiz. Not really gonna discuss it further, no point in bickering
To see folks apply the Israel exception is quite bizzare. If a US firm bought a Russian or Chinese company filled with its former military heads, you'd have no problem discussing it, I'm sure.
To paint any attempt by anyone at discussing these issues as "bickering" is intimidation and censorship aimed at stifling any critical analysis.
OP's point is relevant to Graphene by the way of Google which controls Android & Pixels. It wasn't long ago that Google refused to confirm if it was subject to UK's digital mass surveillance IPA (Investigatory Powers Act).
You wouldn't say folks are "bickering" when they bring into question the NSA or GCHQ?
To OP's point: There's definitely a question of espionage, but a former Unit 8200 is now CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) at Meta (which controls WhatsApp), and Sergey Brin (who co-founded Google with Larry Page) is quite sympathetic as well (expected, as he's a Soviet Jewish migrant). I don't think the acquisition of Wiz, or any Israeli startup for that matter, changes much at all, if you were solely worried about Unit 8200's espionage of BigTech, because if it were to happen, it already has.
