  • stopping apps from autorun at startup?

I loaded an app (from F-droid, FYI) that autoruns on device startup. I do not find any permissions to stop this behavior. Once running, I stop the app and disable it but every reboot it starts up again. Ideally, like most every other app, the app does not run until I start it, not it starts itself.

Besides uninstalling (plan B), any way to stop this behavior via settings or other means?

I could be wrong, but I think it's down to how the app was programmed to work. For example, the YouTube app performs background tasks upon boot as well, and there's no option to disable or prevent this from happening (and I subsequently uninstalled it for this reason).
