I wish to install Protonvpn, is it better to install from F-Droid or an apk from GitHub?

We generally recommend sticking with developer-signed apps when the option is readily available.

Hum, I have a problem now. I tried first to install Protonvpn with F-Droid, however I was not successful, the downloaded percentage exceeded 100% in F-Droid and nothing happened, the app Protonvpn didn't show as installed.

Then I downloaded the last app of Protonvpn from Github but when I try to install the apk it says that the package is in conflict with an already present package (from F-Droid I assume though Protonvpn doesn't show as installed in F-Droid or anywhere).

What can I do?

Make sure ProtonVPN isn't installed in any user profile. If it is, it's probably a signature conflict because you were mixing sources. F-Droid is known to cause such issues.

Wonderfall Thank you, you solved my issue. I uninstalled Protonvpn installed with F-droid in another profile and reinstalled with APM. Both profile installation with APM.

Thanks! You fixed my problem. I uninstalled ProtonVPN that I got from F-Droid in one place and then installed it again using APM. I did the same for both places using APM.
