Switch from F-Droid to Droid-ify or NeoStore for auto updates

I learned that one major drawback of F-Droid is that it cannot auto-update packages as it does not support session based installs. Both, Droid-ify and NeoStore seem to support this and therefore can silently update packages.

My Question is: When I switch from F-Droid to Droid-ify or NeoStore do I get auto updates for already installed apps or do I have to reinstall them to make this work (I do not want to lose my app data)?

sebastianha Both apps use the same repositories, so you won't lose your app data and you can continue using your apps and not have to re-install them.

Thanks for the answer.

I know that there are more issues with F-Droid but this would be a reason to switch to Droid-ify or NeoStore as this is a direct benefit. All other issues are more F-Droid repo concept related and not with the app itself.
