Great update! Two questions:
Awesome, thank you! My Pixel 7 and Pixel Tablet are working well under 2025030100. (Mobile connectivity and Play Services not tested)
My Pixel 6a is also working well. (WiFi, mobile connectivity and Play Services not tested)
ToughDBlue After I enable Network Location do I also have to enable Wi-Fi scanning in Location services or does enabling Network location not require that?
And do we need to have WiFi enabled at all to get network based location ?
IamZorro You either need to have Wi-Fi enabled, or Wi-Fi scanning enabled. If you have Wi-Fi on, you don't need the scanning toggle. The scanning toggle just allows that to happen while Wi-Fi is off.
ToughDBlue See above.
As for your first question, the GrapheneOS proxy gets the information and passes it to Apple's service so it acts as an intermediary in that sense. If you have no qualms about contacting Apple's service directly, you can choose to do so.
matchboxbananasynergy Thank you for the replies to my questions
Probably related to version 2025022700, the preferred network settings include "4G" and "4G only". After selecting "4G", "4G only" is displayed.
This update took like 6 minutes to boot at first and I thought my phone bricked...ah thank god it didn't
Hat Can you show a screen recording?
GrapheneOS
Yes I did one. And I joined the GrapheneOS group 10 minutes ago on Simplex. If a moderator could send me a PM.
Hat Can you send it to logs@grapheneos.org by email?
@Hat Thanks, received it. We'll look into it.
Does the Graphene team strongly recommend always updating to the latest version right away for security purposes? I updated mine last month...not sure if that puts me at risk...
Is there a setting to allow the phone to automatically download only those GOS updates containing critical patches the Graphene team highly recommends?
K8y Basically every update either contains security updates or important bugfixes. It is highly recommended to always be on the latest release.
matchboxbananasynergy if I downloaded it in "beta mode" would I need to redownload again once it is in final ready status? (I only desire the final version).
Also is there an auto OS update feature in Graphene?
Thank you.
K8y *I wasn't sure since here it seemed to say updates are auto checked every 6 hours, but also says you need to go to settings then system update: https://grapheneos.org/usage#updates-security
K8y Updates are automatic. It downloads and installs it and then notifies you to reboot so that it can apply it. You don't need to anything other than that.

No, all releases are production releases, they just go through different release channels.
