Working UK banks apps?

Hi all,

I’m considering installing GrapheneOS but wanted to check if the banking/financial apps work in the UK. The ones I’m most concerned about is Monzo, Amex and Freetrade. Does anyone have any issues with these?

Also, the Amex app allows its own contactless payment, instead of Google Pay. Has anyone tried this and does it work on GOS?

I am using Lloyds, Starling and Barclaycard + PayPal app.

All are working as expected, with notifications (if you need notifications, you will need to enable Network access for Google Play Services).

Barclaycard has its own contactless instead of Google Pay and it works as expected too.

So far - no issues with my banking apps.

Confirmation: someone I know in the UK tested Amex Pay - did not work at Tesco
