Does anybody here use OpenAPK? I'm wondering if it's better than F-Droid?

I'm not familiar with OpenAPK, so after taking a look at the main page selected Fennec (Firefox Android).
I know that Fennec releases (usually) are built by F-Droid, so I was interested in how OpenAPK provides the app.
Then a quick look in their FAQ shows:

Q: How do we obtain the apps?

A: At OpenAPK, we curate a comprehensive collection of open-source apps sourced directly from trusted platforms like GitHub and F-Droid. Our aim is to make these applications easily accessible while maintaining transparency and authenticity. Each app listed on OpenAPK includes a link to its official repository, ensuring users can download the latest and previous version straight from the original source.

I guess the above partially answers your question.

So it's just a page linking APK repos? But fennec is just patching. The building of the APK is done by F-Droid iirc. There are many projects like this. So in that case OpenAPK builds them? Will look into it. Just wanted to put this nifty site onto GOS forum.

Oggyo That's a strange description they're providing since the main F-Droid repository is not an original source of apps but rather third party builds of apps with significant delays, sketchy changes, problematic outdated build environment / dependencies and poorly secured infrastructure. Not really clear what it's accomplishing if it's mirroring those.
