Delete F-Droid

Hi, I have a question I'm switching from F-Droid to Obtainium. F-Dreoid I have several applications about 20. If I delete the F-Droid app, will the installed apps remain in it so that I can transfer their resources to Obtainium without losing data and settings.

You don't install apps "in" Fdroid....

KankysCZ They won't be uninstalled. However a lot of F-Droid apps can't be updated to new versions by Obtainium because of different build signature unless the app developer enabled reproducible builds (still uncommon today). So you will have to backup app data, uninstall the app and reinstall it from Obtainium if the direct update fails.

The apps are installed on your system. F-Droid was just a way for you to find and install these apps. They will not be touched if you uninstall the F-Droid app.

Just wanted to add to the point @Eirikr70 made if you are worried about losing app data most FOSS apps allow for manual backup and restore which it's generally good practice to make backups anyways so in the event that you may need to uninstall or reinstall them you can get all your data back immediately. you may want to see if the apps in question that you use have backup methods. Preferably local backups in this case but cloud backups could work too.
