Battery life Pixel 8 Pro vs Pixel 9 Pro XL

I'm currently in the process of deciding for a phone. I've looked at some comparisons and the 9 Pro XL has almost 2h more battery life than the 8. I was wondering if this depends on some Google magic or would it be the same with Graphene, because both batteries got almost the same mAh.

Just simple because of the tensor 4 Chipset in the pixel 9. the pixel 8 has tensor 3

If you use mobile data often, the 9 will likely give you better battery life. If you spend most time on WiFi, the battery life improvement over the 8 pro will be incremental.

The SoC of both phones' is made using the same technological process but the 9 series has a newer modem. Reddit people claim the 9 series has longer SOT and improved modem performance.
