Developer mode is not recommended. Do not turn on developer mode.

Upstate1618 Thank you. Do you know if it is possible to flash Google OS again and then flash Graphene OS? I Think i might have made some unintended changes through ADB and although the phone seems ok, i think it is better to reinstall everything.

This is the eSIM support code, which is disabled by default and which is specially sandboxed if enabled.

I believe this is part of Wi-Fi calling / Voice over Wi-Fi.

Fundamentally, GrapheneOS runs on Pixel phones, Pixel phones come from Google, so GrapheneOS phones will contain Google code, including some excellent security features in the firmware!

So, I (1) plug the phone into the computer and click on "Remove non-stock key", then (2) i go to this address (https://flash.android.com/welcome?continue=%2Fback-to-public) and flash google android into the phone (3) lastly I go back to Graphene OS install page (https://grapheneos.org/install/web#replacing-grapheneos-with-the-stock-os) and install it again as i did when i first got the phone? Is it that simple? I know there are multiple images of androids for PIxel phones available, from carriers, such as verizon, for example, but this website (https://flash.android.com/welcome?continue=%2Fback-to-public) wont flash anything that is proprietary that would lock my phone, right? Thank you again.

Ugs Why don't you just factory-reset the device by booting into Recovery?

de0u because, from what I know, a factory reset will not reinstall missing or corrupted system files or revert the OS to its original version. It wont bring back the packages i accidentally deleted. Please, let me kow if i am wrong. thanks

It depends on what you did and how.

If the system boots without a red "corrupt" warning, the system partition should be intact and a factory reset should work.

If you are planning to reflash anyway, why not enable OEM unlock, boot into Recovery, and try a factory reset?

Is this how it is done on Pixel 7a ?

"Hold vol- while powering on so that it goes into FASTBOOT mode.
Then use vol+/- until it says "Recovery Mode" and press the power button to enter it.
When it boots into recovery it will say "no command". This is normal.
Press and hold the power button, and while held, press vol+.
Now see there is a factory reset option in the menu. Follow directions to factory reset."

Ugs That sounds right.

Be sure to enable OEM unlock before factory reset (unless whatever problems you are having preclude that).
