google packages and apps in Graphene OS?

Hi All, I have just installed Graphene OS on a PIxel 7a and was surpreside to see google play store and services on the device. I unistalled them but their icon still remains. I used ADB to check for google stuff on the phone and found the below packages. Is this normal? If this is not normal, What did I do wrong during installation? And how can i fix this, should i install graphene again, if so, how? Thank you!

You mean the actual Play Store/Services apps available from the GOS App Store? I'm not sure how they were apparently already on a fresh GOS installation, unless you're referring to something other than the actual apps. Perhaps a screenshot can be provided?

As far as I'm aware, most (all?) of these are system components that you shouldn't be touching.

You can reinstall the same way you installed in the first place. However without knowing what you mean by Google Play Store / Services, I'm not even sure if there is a problem to fix.

This is the eSIM support code, which is disabled by default and which is specially sandboxed if enabled.

I believe this is part of Wi-Fi calling / Voice over Wi-Fi.

Fundamentally, GrapheneOS runs on Pixel phones, Pixel phones come from Google, so GrapheneOS phones will contain Google code, including some excellent security features in the firmware!

This is normal.
If you want to install Google Play, you can find it in App Store.
Developer mode is not recommended. Do not turn on developer mode.

So, I (1) plug the phone into the computer and click on "Remove non-stock key", then (2) i go to this address (https://flash.android.com/welcome?continue=%2Fback-to-public) and flash google android into the phone (3) lastly I go back to Graphene OS install page (https://grapheneos.org/install/web#replacing-grapheneos-with-the-stock-os) and install it again as i did when i first got the phone? Is it that simple? I know there are multiple images of androids for PIxel phones available, from carriers, such as verizon, for example, but this website (https://flash.android.com/welcome?continue=%2Fback-to-public) wont flash anything that is proprietary that would lock my phone, right? Thank you again.

Ugs Why don't you just factory-reset the device by booting into Recovery?

de0u because, from what I know, a factory reset will not reinstall missing or corrupted system files or revert the OS to its original version. It wont bring back the packages i accidentally deleted. Please, let me kow if i am wrong. thanks

It depends on what you did and how.

If the system boots without a red "corrupt" warning, the system partition should be intact and a factory reset should work.

If you are planning to reflash anyway, why not enable OEM unlock, boot into Recovery, and try a factory reset?

Is this how it is done on Pixel 7a ?

"Hold vol- while powering on so that it goes into FASTBOOT mode.
Then use vol+/- until it says "Recovery Mode" and press the power button to enter it.
When it boots into recovery it will say "no command". This is normal.
Press and hold the power button, and while held, press vol+.
Now see there is a factory reset option in the menu. Follow directions to factory reset."

Ugs That sounds right.

Be sure to enable OEM unlock before factory reset (unless whatever problems you are having preclude that).
