I have come across Nym VPN in the Bisq 2 introduction video. I have also tried researching it and have found nothing other than the statements of Nym themselves. Is it a honeypot?
Nym VPN? Is it trustworthy?
Haven't heard of Nym.
That being said, why not just use Mullvad? It's the best choice for privacy.
Private Internet Access is generally the best choice if you need a dedicated IP.
ProtonVPN is likewise solid, and included in many of their plans.
Surfshark is alright if you don't truly need a VPN and want to put it on tons of devices.
Orbot is free and very secure but is slow given that everything is routed through TOR.
JollyRancher Number is mixnet like Tor. You have the option to hop through 2 nodes or 5 nodes.
JollyRancher It was also mentioned in the video of Bisq announcing bisq2:

DeletedUser41 what's your goal with the VPN as there are many use cases and different best services.
If you're about privacy, usually Mullvad, IVPN, PeotonVPN and Windscribe are the ones with good track record, policy and Open Source code. In this forum, Mullvad is generally singled out as the most trustworthy. None of them will really work well against Geoblocking on Netflix etc. if that is your intention.
Hi @JollyRancher @N1b — happy to answer any questions you have about NymVPN.
Disclosure: I work at Nym Technologies.

It's probably safe however it is craptacular, slower than a wet week, I could not imagine how painful it would be to use the Mixnet 5 stage hop.
Proton free is infinitely better ie. line speeds and volume of users to be lost amongst.
