  • European authorities have dismantled Matrix, an encrypted messaging platform.

As the title says. Has anyone else read about this looks interesting?

Reminds me of encrochat and sky.

From some people I know in EU I have heard that some of these phones that used "matrix/totalsec" used GrapheneOs as the OS. Can be false but this is what i have heard (rumours as I have stated) or maybe I have missunderstood and it was a completey different OS on these phones and that used a messaging service only.

Anyone has any information about this messaging serivce , what kind of protocol was used and so on.

    MATRIX the invite-only criminal org (your link above)
    from
    Matrix.org, the foundation that maintains an open protocol used widely by many different kinds of people (including by the GOS team)

    An unrelated cybercriminal network named MATRIX was taken down

    The Matrix.org Foundation has been made aware that an international investigative operation took down a cybercriminal network called MATRIX. The service might have been built using the Matrix protocol, but we’re unaware of it if so.

    The takedown site has a Matrix-the-movie branding, which is a probable source of confusion. The app showcased doesn’t look like any of the Matrix clients we’re aware of.
