I am using a Trezor safe 3 on my GOS with a vpn on and connecting it to my phone. I am connecting through the website and not the app and have USB-C port "On." I tried different cables and I checked some of their support faqs and saw using it on a vpn might cause issues.

How do others connect it and get it to work? Have others connected it over a vpn?

Thank you!

Have no issues with my Trezor 3 on Pixel 9 Pro. Mullvad VPN user.

Do you use Vanadium? Is there a site setting you have toggled? I know it needs JavaScript and On-device site data. Every other setting I have is blocked and I tried toggling them on to see if that would register, but it didn't work.

In mullvad do you have dns content blocked?

I also don't have this issue, Trezor is recognized (after entering the pin on device). I'm using:

    • Pixel 8 Pro with GOS and Trezor Safe 3
    • Trezor data cable from the Safe 3 box
    • Mullvad with DNS blocking of ads, trackers and malware
    • On a user profile (not owner)
    • Vanadium with out of the box settings (except open links in incognito turned on)

The trezor web suite works both regularly and in incognito mode. Do you still have the original cable that was delivered with the Safe 3?

Here's what I'd do: Create a new user profile with a standard setup and no apps installed or settings changed. Try to access the Safe 3 through the trezor web app in Vanadium and see if it's recognized after entering the pin. You don't have to go any further, just check if it's visible to exclude faulty hardware. If you can't access it, something's up with either the trezor, the cable or the phone (or USB port). If you can access it, go back to your current user and work back settings step by step. Or if you're uncomfortable with that, harden the new user step by step until the trezor doesn't get recognized so you know what's causing it.
