noodle_panda yes I mean that protection. In my case to update it via play store i had to disable all. Maybe some could be left enabled but I don't want to mess it up.

The change you're referring to only blocks certain injected code from running. Based on what you're saying here, it sounds like they're checking the installer which is a different thing. Spoofing the installer isn't a feature yet as Viewpoint0232 said.

I thought GrapheneOS does (or plans to?) pretend that apps were installed from Play Store as long as the signature matches, even if you got it from Aurora or some APK you backed up.

Something has happened, latest Revolut v10.88.1 now works again on rooted and custom ROMs (tested with a POCO F5 and POCO X3 NFC with different custom ROMs and Magisk installed)!

AND IT'S GONE AGAIN!

So up to v10.88.2 (1008806832) it was working just fine and latest v10.89 (1008904848) is showing the dreaded "Sorry, Revolut isn't supported on this device" once again.

Since I only was able to test it on my good old POCO F5 with quite an old other custom OS, someone please have a look if the latest versio is still working on GOS.

With that being said, what the hell is going on in the Revolut app dev department?

hainguyenhoang Excellent, thanks a lot for the swift feedback. I was hoping that GOS is still unaffected by the current (and quite weird) changes that they made between v10.87 and v10.89.

GrapheneOS has implemented a workaround compared to other custom Android distributions. This is why it works on GrapheneOS and not on poco phones.

ron Yeah, I know, I was just worried that they may have introduced new countermeasures in v10.89 that may affect GOS as well (which luckily isn't the case).

So weird that they introduced the countermeasures in v10.87, dropped them in v10.88 and reintroduced them in v10.89.

Any idea about why I don't get any notification from Revolut? And I tried to make a payment through Bizum (spanish digital payment) and didn't get the confirmation pop-up nor anything on the app so I couldn't pay. Thanks!

I just installed the 10.90 version and it works fine (work profile using shelter) with google play services

SilverCat38 Can't get notifications without Google Play Services? I have Revolut in my main profile without them because I saw that the app is supported in Graphene

Waxillium yes I confirm that without them.. notifications dont work.. that's why I use it in my work profile so I keep my main profile without google services

Hi all and thank you to everyone who has contributed to this (ongoing) thread.

Just an update:
I am running a Pixel 8 with 2025080600
Recently Downloaded Revolut v10.90.1 (1009005901), from Arura Store (v4.7.4)
And unfortunately have got the "app needs to be installed from a know Store" (specifically Google Play)."

Hope that helps the devs/others, if anyone has a suggested current workaround, or knows if it will be fixed in a future patch/update?

FWIW, latest version on Play Store is 10.91 (1009104909) seems to install fine on a Pixel 9 with 2025080600.
