Today I got an "unsupported app store" error from Revolut.
I have multiple user profiles, with a "naked owner" setup. The owner profile has several app stores, including google play installed. Revolut is installed via gplay in the owner, but it is disabled in the owner. I use "Install available apps" to install apps in the secondary user profiles.
So, I use Revolut in a secondary user profile, and haven't had issues with it recently, until today. I got the error when trying to make a SEPA instant euro bank transfer. The screen appeared at the very last moment, after all the confirmations were done, when the money was supposed to be "sent". I could not take a screenshot, as the app sets FLAG_SECURE on this activity, so it was all black.
Error text:
Unsupported app store
To keep your data safe, the Revolut app must be installed from a known app store.
If you would like to use the app on this device, you will need to install it from Google Play.
Note: this secondary user profiles does NOT have sandboxed google play installed.
Anyway, after that I created another secondary user profile, with sandboxed google play this time. Logged into a throwaway google acc, and installed the same version (latest) of Revolut from the play store directly in the new profile. Logged into Revolut, and attempted the same SEPA bank transfer. It succeeded.
Kind of annoying though, as I'd like to keep using a pure "naked owner".
Revolut app version: 10.87
