If you have a USB drive, you can plug it into the 8 Pro and from the system log dialog, when you select to save the log, you should be able to save it to the USB drive. It might take a few attempts for the log file to be properly saved but it should be doable.

I see. I don't know if the system log might contain private information which you might not want to be public, so might be best to wait for the developer to reply to your query (I was about to suggest a file upload service, which might not be wanted).

I recommend sideloading the OTA image via adb. That does not require OEM-unlocking or bootloader unlocking.

Hello!
Today I started the project "sideloading the OTA image". I wanted to get in the fastboot mode, but anything went wrong with my thick gardeners fingers holding start/volume down and the device started to boot the system, and again I met my beloved setup wizard. But then suddenly the system update started and finally I found myself confronted with the start screen freed from my wizard prison.
I am so happy and thank all of you sincerely for your help!
