Hi everyone!
I recently switched to GrapheneOS (GOS) and have set up my device like this:

•Owner Profile: This is for everyday tasks with basic phone functionality, in case I need to delete everything else. I’ll use it for videos, music, and activities I’m comfortable sharing. It has an always-on VPN and some Google apps (Lens, Camera, Photos), all with permissions revoked.

•Private Space within the Owner Profile: This is for banking apps that require Play Services and need to be installed only from the Play Store. I use a different VPN location here.

•Second User Profile: I’ll use this for apps and data that could compromise me personally (e.g., potential visa revocation due to political views or other sensitive issues). I placed the banking apps into the Private Space since it still offers a certain level of security and isn’t widely known.

I might add crypto and work profiles later on.

My question is: Where should I put my messaging apps (WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram), Proton apps (Pass, Email, etc.), and some delivery apps that can’t function as web apps?

Signal is mainly used for family communication because Europe heavily relies on WhatsApp. I’m considering putting Signal into the Private Space and the others into the secondary profile, but I’m unsure if notifications and calls will work properly since the Private Space shuts down apps and the secondary profile can’t forward notifications to the owner profile.

As for Proton apps, I’m uncertain whether to place them in the Private Space for convenience (though this would share my IP with Google and banks) or in my second profile.

DrantaRAT Where should I put my messaging apps (WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram), Proton apps (Pass, Email, etc.), and some delivery apps that can’t function as web apps?

There' s no right or wrong:
I would install Signal & co in the owner profile. And delivery and other in the second profile.

You're right Signal stops working when the private space shuts down.
