Problem with gallery app:

I took a photo in graphene camera, clicked the photo in the bottom right, hit the edit pencil on top, cropped the photo and pressed save. It tells me Could not read the image due to the editor not providing read access.

So I went to the camera app info page, went to storage, configured storage scopes to allow access to DCIM PICTURES and EditedOnlinePhotos directories.

Then it gave me some unknown error message.

But the thing is, before I even configured storage scopes, even though it was giving a permission denied error, it did save the edited photos to the EditedOnlinePhotos directory.

Did you restart your device just to be on the safe side after giving the scopes permission?

Just did a restart for an update, and tried it, it gives the following error:

An unexpected error occured after editing

Odd thing is, it still saved the file in EditedOnlinePhotos before I configured scopes and even now after I configure scopes.

Installed SimpleGallery. That works without errors.

kl8u I was having a similar issue. After I edited a photo with the "Photos Editor". When asked if I'd like to replace the image or make a copy, it wouldn't make a copy and it gave me an error. After a factory reset I performed and set my Storage Scopes to the same settings you have "that I have been using as well" it works with Google Photos Editor for some reason. I have no idea what fixed it.i was using Simple as well and didn't have any problems.
