Hi, new to Graphene and digging it so far. For some reason I am unable to use image capture to view and download photos on my device. It seems like it was working with android 14. Is this a new incompatibility? Does anyone have recommendations for an alternative application? Thanks!

bondedcarbon it seems to be working fine for me. Make sure you enable USB file transfer. If that's enabled and still doesn't work, try the Photos app, it can do pretty much the same as Image Capture with more organization.

Under Apps Store on GOS, install Accrescent, then search Accrescent app open and install Aves Gallery, hope this help, works for me.

splattergames Tried giving it 15 minutes, still no go. Is there some setting that might have been changed somewhere? I also tried another computer. I could have sworn I had tested and had this working in the past couple weeks when I first installed it. The only difference I am aware of is Android 15.

bondedcarbon hmm, no idea actually. Maybe try unlocking the phone first and connect it afterwards (instead of vice versa). Does the phone get recognized in the Photos app at least or is it the same story there?

splattergames Same story with photos app. It's recognizing but not listing photos. I messed around with the unlock sequence and tried a different usb cable — no go. I feel like I must have toggled something somewhere!

bondedcarbon possible. Last thing you could check, is if the photos (in the according folder like /DCIM or /Photos) are visible through OpenMTP or Android File Transfer (OpenMTP is more up-to-date, so I recommend that). I honestly don't know of any toggle that would prevent the photos from showing up, neither on GOS or macOS.

actually, instead of "file transfer" set it to "ptp" in the dropdown menu. I noticed that when running file transfer, the image capture app also lists all kinds of unrelated stuff like json files and logcats and whatever. Maybe it's trying to load something incompatible and that's why it's failing?
