So...
Pixel 7 Pro, running GrapheneOS for a year with no issues. I dropped my phone, cracked the screen, and replaced it. The fingerprint sensor did not work. Reading online, I found this post https://www.reddit.com/r/GrapheneOS/comments/10npvcw/can_i_get_my_screen_replaced_if_i_am_on/
that suggested using the pixel update tool here: https://pixelrepair.withgoogle.com/
Ran the tool, rebooted my phone, everything initially working. Except now:
- I still cannot access the fingerprint reader. There are no menu items under settings for anything to do with fingerprints
- I cannot connect the phone to a PC via USB - I plug in the phone and it charges, but no notification appears to select file transfer. There is nothing under connected devices on the phone, and the phone does not appear to the PC. (NOTE: this is with multiple cables that transfer data, that I have successfully used on previous occasions with this phone and PC pairing, before I broke the screen)
- I cannot find any menu items under settings for anything to do with USB or file transfer. I can't find online a listing of what menu items should appear, but I think there should be a setting under "Security and privacy" to enable file transfer?
- I cannot find developer options either.
All the above is under the "owner" profile. I have rebooted multiple times and in/out of safe mode.
Is my phone locked in some kind of restricted mode? Any suggestions? If I have to reinstall GrapheneOS it's not the end of the world, but I have no idea how to do that if I cannot connect to my PC.
