SMS from multiple profiles fails to send

For the past few updates, messages have failed to send from alternate profiles. Typically, this would show up as double messages in QUIK/google messages (RCS disabled) and that's been mentioned before, but it refuses to send entirely unless sent from the gos messenger.
My current solution is using the graphene messenger, but I'd like to be able to set my own app with sia/spam blocking integration.

Same exact problem here, except I have RCS enabled. I use a Pixel Fold, completely up to date. All the error says is "Not Sent. Check Options". Clicking it only shows "Resend / Delete".

I have an eSim, not physical. Checking the logs, a few lines of note:

SharedPreferencesSimStateStore: No sim subscription info found for subscription id: -1
getCachedRcsAvailabilityForSubId called with an invalid sub id: -1
# ...
SubscriptionMetadataUtils get: unexpected subId = -2, replacing with -1 # (This one appears a LOT)

I haven't looked at the logs before though, it's hard to judge which ones are common/expected.

Does it show up as the 2nd sim on your phone as well? I noticed in the settings that my esim isn't counted as the main line. About phone/Phone number (sim slot 1/2).
If the solution is as simple as getting a physical sim again, I might just go through the store. Having an imei paired to the cell line is probably more secure, but I'm willing to compromise on the very minor risk of sim duplication if that's the solution.

@Sazo This has been an ongoing issue but I have not seen any sort of official response from @GrapheneOS about it.

I personally just gave up as the default SMS seems to be the only reliable messanger if you use multiple profiles. QUIK used to work the best for me but it became to annoying to constantly sync messages.

Overlay1404 Thanks for the response! The thread you linked is about receiving messages. The bug here is very recently, we stopped being able to send anything.

I just verified that installing google messages on the root account can still send. Maybe the profile issue expanded, and that's what you were referencing.

Cameronsplaze thats what I was getting at. SMS in other profiles has always been a rocky road.

Sazo I'd be down to check. How do you check this exactly? I haven't seen this setting before.

Ohh I can check the logs on the root account, see if the same messages appear there since that side is working. I'm busy again but'll try to get back to this real soon
