I have been trying for months to get into 3 user profiles. I figured I would wait until Android 15 come out, and hopefully that would fix the bug, but it did not - so I am seeking some advice from the community.
Around 5 months ago I woke up one morning (possibly after an update, I cannot recall), and I could not access 3/6 of my multi-user profiles. The first 3 were accessible, the second three were not. I figured it was an Android bug and would hopefully be fixed with updates, but alas no fixes have been made. I told myself I'd wait until Android 15 to come out to see if it would get fixed, but it did not. So a bit at a standstill, there is data on those profiles that I would like to have, however, it will not kill me if I do not get access to that data ever again.
The issue: When I switch to those affected user profiles, it prompts me to enter my PIN as does in all my other profiles. Once I successfully enter the PIN there is a little delay as if it is attempting to open the user profile and the screen turns black for a moment, but then reverts back to the PIN screen, prompting to enter my PIN once again. I have not been able to break this loop.
Things I have attempted to break the loop since then: Create new user profiles and switch from those into the old ones, boot on safe mode and try to enter, remove PIN from main profile, wait for updates.
At this point I'll gladly make attempts to do whatever to fix it. I tried searching the forum for other people experiencing the issue, but did not find common threads. Just want to exhaust all resources before permanently giving up on the dream. I do intend to buy a newer Pixel phone at some point and back up my old one to it, which could potentially fix it, but for now I would like to fix it on my current phone. Thanks in advance - I appreciate the community at large helping less tech-savvy folk like myself :)
