Everybody here is for privacy; not everyone is for whatever RU espouses, regardless of my own personal convictions. What would happen when RU realizes one of their users is on the opposite side of the political spectrum? How do we guarantee they won't establish a web-client backdoor or simply shut down their account? It's precisely why I recommended Tuta. Haven't seen any political leaning from them besides the obvious privacy aspect. Proton is also good in that regard but, like I pointed out, their encryption is less-than and more expensive.
Edit: also Riseup is based in the US, correct? That alone should make them a bad choice.
