Slow app installation, updates and system updates

Hello there,
I keep noticing that app installations, updates or even system updates are much slower than on stock Android. I strongly suspect that this is due to GrapheneOS, but from a technical point of view I would be interested to know what happens and whether the installation process is different under GOS than under stock Android.

Hawk_Tuah From what I have heard, GrapheneOS is pre-compiling all Java code during app installation instead of using just-in-time compilation. I guess the reason is to avoid deanonymization by cross-profile timing correlation, since apps share compiled code across profiles.

ryrona This makes indeed sense, thanks for your responding. So it is actually a pretty good thing that it takes some more time:D I wonder if app installation and stuff run smoother an faster on newer pixel devices
