I can force the display aspect ratio to be 16:9 using adb shell wm size 1080x2424. However, how can I disable the notches (front camera hole and screen corners)? I tried adb shell settings put secure sysui_rounded_size 1, but it does not work.

UlyssesZhan the closest to what you're asking I know of is Settings > System > Developer options > Display cutout > hide

UlyssesZhan yes there is, either hide or render apps below cutout area. Both will black out area of the screen where camera punch hole is.
[deleted] They don't work. Both "Hide" and "Render apps below cutout area" are the same as device default.
UlyssesZhan what device are you using? just tried hide did exactly what you're asking for (as far as i understand)
