Experiment time: try installing the app via Aurora Store instead of Play Store.
Brickyard Fitness App
matchboxbananasynergy Downloading now, will report back.
matchboxbananasynergy Still no luck. Just hangs on the logo screen
I tried this on a Pixel 6. Perhaps someone on that model could try to rule out any weirdness?

Tried that. Still stuck.

I now installed the app on a Pixel 6a I had lying next to me, incidentally, and it launches fine. Same version of GrapheneOS and Play Services.
fid02 Bingo. Next step is for someone to try it on one of the later generations on stock, I guess.
Its good to hear that we at least have it isolated to older generations. Unfortunately I don't have an additional device to test it on stock
In case it narrows it down any, on a 7a I also get stuck at the logo screen.

Oh, didnt see the OP is also on 7a. Well, anyway, I confirm.

I asked people in the community chats if they could help test the app on stock PixelOS. I got this response from a user:
App doesn't work with stock on my pixel 8 pro
Just sits on a screen with the logo on it forever
@BlingoDangoDingo It looks like this is an issue with the app itself and not specific to GrapheneOS. I suggest you report to the app developers that their app is unable to launch on Pixel 7 and Pixel 8 devices. (It might be the case for Pixel 9 devices as well but no one has tested that).
BlingoDangoDingo Its the only method of payment/gym access/account management.
I remember the good old days when you could go to the gym, sign a contract and pay with a credit card or by bank transfer, and then being issued a physical access card. Those were the days!
Good morning all, thank you @fid02 for asking out into the community. I've sent some emails off to the developers, and I'm going to contact the gym this morning. Hopefully it's just a simple update. I'm with you on that one, I miss the old days too. I was taken aback that they didn't even offer paper/pen as a backup. No going back I suppose
Well I reached out to the developers/gym owner, and the consensus between both of them was that there was no reported issues with this app on newer android devices. Seems that I may be out of luck unless there's something GrapheneOS can do to ensure further compatability.
