I've been trying to install Graphene on my cmf phone 1 and I run into the same reapeated issue. I get through all the setup steps fine on the phone and get into dev mode, set the phone to be ready to fastboot and I can detect it when running "adb devices" but I can't detect it in my device manager or under "fastboot devices", and when I run "adb reboot bootloader" the phone restarts, shows the power up screen with a little added "=> fastboot mode" indicator on the bottom right but never gets out of this power up screen. I still cannot detect it in my device manager or "fastboot devices" and nothing short of abandoning the process seems to get me out of that screen. I know cmf phones aren't exactly the top choice for graphene but if anyone has any cmf specific or general tips I'd love your input.

It is not possible to install GrapheneOS on a phone other than those listed on the sites.

datadump Note that you won't really get GrapheneOS if you build it yourself on a device that isn't officially supported, because you'll lack all the security and privacy bolstering at hardware level for the OS to even be named “GrapheneOS”, you simply wouldn't be able to benefit from all the features GrapheneOS offers.

The reason you can build it on an unsupported device is that the code is open and MPL-licensed, companies are allowed to reuse the code, make it proprietary and sell devices with their own versions of GrapheneOS, but they have to sell it under another name because GrapheneOS is a trademark and that it's not GrapheneOS anymore.
