A few days ago I tried to make a purchase on an app and I got an error message. (OR_BPA_01). I tried to change my card, and was promoted to install Google wallet. At first it wouldn't even open, but I figured that out. When I tried to add my card I got the same error. Deleting my subscriptions, deleting my card and re-adding it just throws up the same error. Has anyone else had the same problem? Is it just something that will be fixed in the next update, or am I doing something stupid? For the record, I don't want to use NFC payments or anything, I just want to use my card for my subscriptions and in app purchases.

I had the same error yesterday trying to purchase an app on Google Play. The only work around I could find was to purchase through the browser instead.

TheWookiee Hey there, I have exactly the same issue. Started happening about a week or two ago. Can't find a fix for it (other than using a website, which I'd prefer not zoing).

Edit: pixel 7a, play services version 24.28.35

In app purchases are working for me (ex. TimHortons) ...trying to add a card into GWallet gets me the OR_BPA_01 error. -- on Pixel8.

I had the same proble, i had to use the Google Play web interface

I had the same problem on my Pixel 9 Pro XL.

The solution was to enable location service on both Google Play and Google Play Services !

    Many forums say the same.

Try it, it worked for me ☺️

Hey, thanks! arutaz . That worked. It sucks, but I wanna make occasional payments through the Google pay modal, so I needa keep this setting on unfortunately.

frostcrackle if it is only occasional payments, then you just need to activate location on those rare times, and turn it off as soon as payment is made.
