Hi there, new Graphene user here. I've been using Graphene for a few weeks now (on a pixel 6a) and I get a system update that requires a reboot every day. Is that right? I'm all for regular updates, but this doesn't seem right. Is this normal?
Many thanks in advance

Daily System Updates

No, that's isn't normal.
This was because of some random VPN issues that were merged and reverted 3(!) times, then the 2024-08-01 patch came in, then the 2024-08-05 one etc.
We ended up with a bunch of minor "stable" releases in a 1 week timeframe:
2024080600
2024080500
2024080200
2024080100
2024073100
2024072800
I think such changes (like the VPN) could be stay in the beta channel, but then you won't get the bug reports from actual people with actual end-cases. So it's a double edged thing.
Yes, there have been more frequent releases lately than is the norm. A reminder that release notes can be found in the Info app or on the website.
But

2024080100
2024073100
these only ever reached Alpha…

2 times, no? And the "merge and revert" releases didn't make it to Stable, as per the release notes. Only 2024080200 reached Stable, and it seems to be a reliable fix which hasn't been reverted yet.
In my view they are using the Alpha channel exactly how it is intended. And it is voluntary to get Alpha updates. Sounds like you, @23Sha-ger are on the Alpha channel…
I disagree that 2024080600 and 2024080500 should've stayed in Beta. These are important security updates…

The frequency of the last two weeks was enormous. But I think that is not the rule
