Apps work fine in main admin profile.
1)I have loaded all of the apps that I use in main admin profile.
2)I have set all necessary permissions in main admin profile, especially network.
3)I choose network - my Calyx Inst hotspot wifi, on main admin profile.
3)I loaded all apps from main admin profile onto second profile
4)I set all necessary permissions on second profile exactly as they are in main admin profile, especially network.
5)The second profile shows that it has the same Internet (Calyx hotspot) as the primary profile under "internet" setting in settings.
6)The apps in the second profile will not latch on to the Calyx hotspot wifi, even though they work on the primary profile, and even though the Internet setting on the second profile show that it is connected. Again, all permissions have been granted, especially network.
7)I am typing this here, now using the Ethernet cable which works just fine on the second profile.
8)Up to one hour ago, my second profile apps have been latching on to Calyx Inst hotspot wifi just fine with no problem. It only just stopped working today.
I do not want to have to get a SIM card. What could I be doing wrong? OR ..What new update bug do I need to chase down?

    EthernetPlease

    1. Can you say what you mean by applications "not latching on to" a Wi-Fi connection? Can you name some specific apps? What is a sign of "latching on" for one of the apps?
    2. Does this happen when using Wi-Fi networks other than this specific one? For example, if you go to a public Wi-Fi network such as at a library or a coffee shop, do the same phenomena occur?

I figured it out from reading other posts with similar wording. It appears that for some of us, for whatever reason, wifi on the second profile doesn't work if that second profile has a VPN. I couldn't just turn off the VPN. I had to delete it. I am now posting this reply through my Calyx Inst hotspot connection.

EthernetPlease If I understand correctly, maybe you want to turn off the VPN kill switch?

You can do that here: Settings > Network & internet > VPN > the cog next to your VPN > Block connections without VPN

This way you can disable your VPN and connections to the internet will not be blocked.

EthernetPlease sorry, maybe I'm not following what you had said earlier. Are you saying things worked as expected while using the wired connection, but not wifi?
