I enabled it so that it records the device audio but still it won't budge.
Screen recording won't capture audio

The following further explanations come to mind:
- Have you maybe blocked Microphone access?
settings> Privacy> Microphone access
(Maybe you meant that with "i enabled it" but only to be sure):
- when you start screen recording, there is a toggle: "record audio" - have you activated it?
Murcielago As far as I know, microphone access is not needed in order to record device audio.

Sorry, you're right of course. I had mistakenly interpreted/translated "device audio" as something like the internal device microphone.
Bump still won't work.
UPDATE: it only captures the device audio if "device audio + microphone" is enabled.
Never mind, back to not working
Bump doesn't work consistently :(
Bump still doesn't work...
Yes I have had this issue on my P6a since day 1. I believe I tried it months ago with microphone enabled to no success but I may be mistaken and will have to try again.
I'm so stupid I didn't realise I needed to enable the mic permission control... SOLVED (for me)

Never mind. It can't record device audio only microphone. This is quite frustrating... Anybody know the cause? If it does function it does so irregularly...
To be clear, I can record the audio from my music player app but not from YouTube for example.
