Pixel mini?

Has anyone heard anything concrete about the rumoured pixel mini?
I broke my 4a, which was bigger than I like, and now I have the 6a which I f@48ing hate. I hate hate hate how big they are.
I've used gos for years, and if it wasn't for the security I'd have ditched it and gone for something like a unihertz jelly or back to a flip phone. Podcasts and encrypted communication are the only things keeping me using a smartphone.

If the mini comes and it is nice and small I'll be happy as can be.
If the next phones next year or so get even bigger I honestly think I'll just ditch having a smartphone completely. I can't stand it this big. And I'm a big guy with XXL hands. I end up leaving my 6a at home a lot of the time as I can't stand carrying it. It doesn't even fit in pockets FFS.
Sorry for the rant. Please pixel mini be true!

akc3n I know. That's why I marked it off topic.
But I have also seen reference to the mini on this very forum. So as it's the only online forum I use, I thought I'd ask here, because in a diverse group there might be people who have seen or heard more about this topic. Or is chat forbidden here?
