Hi
I have Android Auto set up on a separate profile with Spotify installed for music. When I am driving Spotify will pause itself frequently and randomly. As you can imagine this is very annoying.
It seems to go away when I uninstall it from the owner profile. I only tested it for about a 45 minute drive, but it seemed to be sorted.
Has anyone else encountered this, and discovered a work around?
The only permission Spotify has on the Owner profile is Network, and on the driving profile it has Network and Nearby Devices.
The only thing I can think to do at this point is make a new user to be my main profile which is prevented from always running, but I would rather not go through the hassle of moving everything over!
Thanks in advance. Let me know if there's any information I'm missing.

I have this issue. Have you found a workaround? For now, I have a "dumb" workaround: I delete Spotify from the owner profile before switching to the profile with Android Auto.

Have you tried just disabling Spotify in the Owner profile?

That would at least be a little more convenient than uninstalling.

Currently I use Spotify lite on the owner profile which doesnt seem to trigger this issue

dr-evo This issue seems to have reappeared for me - have you noticed the same?

vertigo90 I haven't had the issue again. I will test it in an hour or so and let you know. One question, are you using spotify on another profile as the app itself or are you using it via Android Auto or something?

Edit: (1 min later) I guess you said Android Auto above. Did you set up the unsupported apps from developer settings?

Yep Android Auto on the profile, just use it as normal on the owner profile. Yep unsupported apps set up in developer settings

Mine looks like it's working fine so far. Does it happen when you're not connected to Android Auto?
