I am guessing it would not be charging only correct?
Charging-only when locked, or Charging-only when locked, except before first unlock.
Manna Thank you!
Manna Charging-only when locked
Although I don't have experience with an Onlykey, it sounds like the OP wants to use it as a USB peripheral? "Charging-only when locked" will not allow USB peripherals when locked; it only allows charging. From the feature description in the settings menu:
- Charging-only
Turns off all non-charging USB-C port functionality.
So if we are talking about connecting a USB peripheral in BFU mode, then the setting "Charging-only when locked, except before first unlock" will do fine.
fid02 oh perfect! Thank you! Yea I want to use it to make a super long passcode to unlock the phone BFU
Manna
Hardware keys can store regular passwords. 2 in Yubikeys and 24 in Onlykeys according to this comparison table.
Manna So you store a long password on your key, put it on the phone, enter your pin code and it automatically uses the long password to unlock the phone? Like a password manager?
I imagine so. Didn't really think about hardware keys doing this either. Might be something I'll consider when the 2FA PIN gets added to GOS.
