I want all installs and updates to be done in the Owner Profile. Since that's the case, I want to turn off installs and updates for the secondary profile. However this turns off Install Available Apps, preventing me from pushing apps installed in the Owner Profile to the secondary profile. This is not what I want, and not how I expected it to work.
I thought "App installs and updates" would only affect apps installed within the profile, and that Install Available Apps would have some sort of special permission/access that would allow app installation from the Owner Profile.
what is the issue with keeping the setting as disabled completely until you want to install another app, then just quickly set it to the first party option, and then back off again
The issue is that this is not a streamlined process which I thought could be achieved by turning off App Installs/Updates while using the Install Available Apps feature to push apps from the Owner. If First party installs is the option to use, then that's fine but I think it would be good to highlight to users that Disabled also includes the Install Available Apps feature if that is the intended case.
