I forget my pin, I don't care about data - this is a new setup with GOS that was start and not completed.

What next ?

SB06 If you forgot the PIN, then there's no way to get into the phone without factory resetting it unless you guess the PIN.

So, assuming you can't guess the PIN or don't care to try, you can do a factory reset following these instructions: https://support.google.com/pixelphone/answer/4596836?hl=en (under "With your phone’s buttons (advanced)")

The button unlock mode seems to do nothing - both google boot and then GOS boots to pin unlock screen ?

Seems to boot to safe mode or black screen

SB06 It's been a while since I did this, so I followed the instructions and the same happened for me. So I did the following:

      • power off phone completely
      • push power and volume down at the same time until you feel a vibration and the bootloader interface comes up
      • use volume buttons to select "recovery mode" and use the lock/power button to enter recovery mode
      • (ignore the prompt about the alternate OS and allow it to boot to recovery)
      • you'll see the Android, then hold power, then push volume up for the menu to come up
      • use volume buttons to select "Wipe data/factory reset" and use the lock/power button to select

I don't remember what comes after that. I don't actually want to reset my phone, so I didn't go past that last step, but I think it should be easy to go from there. Wipe and then restart and you should be good to go.

Thank you - It worked !
