GrapheneOS is known to be resistant to attacks thanks to hardened code as well as a hardware secure element. Are there any laptops/desktops that provide such password-cracking-resistant security? Do BIOS/UEFI passwords / LUKS / BitLocker / Other Security Software provide similar degrees of protection? Or is such thing nonexistent in PCs?
Secure Element in Desktops?
albatross5914 No, there's nothing comparable for desktops or laptops. The replies claiming otherwise are completely wrong. Several replies have promoted an insecure security theater project which has nothing to do with this. The reply about Macs is the least wrong since those have far better firmware/hardware security than the alternatives. However, they're not on the same levels as iPhones or Pixels and certainly not a Pixel with GrapheneOS so the answer is still wrong.
