The option to add app to home screen has vanished.

Hello! I'm sure I have done something, however since the other day (not sure when to be honest) I no longer has the option to add a website/install to home screen in Vanadium.

Could I have messed with a setting?

Check to make sure you're not in incognito mode?
I had this problem before, then realized that it's disabled for incognito tabs.

Add to home screen (or install app)

Mine used to be that, and now its the same as your list, minus the add to home option. Its just not there anymore.

I hate to ask this, what you guys mean by "launcher", please explain or help me to go to the right direction for solve this missing option " add to homescreen" what I even didnt know it has this option.
I am on a 6 pro, gesture and no third party involved.

Mine vanished too. Had to add the option to add new apps to homescreen in my launcher. Can now add links to Vanadium or install PWAs again.

[deleted] oh right, so its a launcher issue? Oh thats a shame but also it makes sense. I just started using mLauncher, testing it really. I was going between that as default and my normal Total Launcher when it disappeared. Mind you, the option hasn't come back if I change the default back to Total.

Been using mlauncher myself. Wanted to install some PWAs, so I switched to NeoLauncher on my Pixel tablet. P8 still rocking mlauncher though.

Maybe you have to reactivate it in Total? Did you set Total as your default launcher?

Edit: oh, you have. Maybe deactivate adding apps in Total, then reactivate?

[deleted] ahhh yes. Thats done it. So its the launcher. Well at least its solved the problem. I'll contact the dev to see if they want to add the functionality then. Thanks!

88dotorg The launcher is the program you use to start your apps. Home screen, app drawer, wigets you may install etc.

If you have a launcher like mLauncher that uses only text instead of app icons, you cannot add apps/links from your browser to your home screen. Also, when you install an app, the icon can automatically be added to your home screen, not only to the app drawer which shows all installed apps.
