Vuraze I forgot to clarify that I have "Show hasMultipleSigners" toggled ON in settings.
I don't see that as an option on the Apkmirror website. I see that there are two signatures for the version of Messages I'm looking at, but when I click on "Verified safe to install (read more)" or "MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256 signatures" a window pops up that only shows the hashes for the first of the two signatures mentioned.

Yeah, I'm just presuming GOS will find a working fix for all carriers, so I haven't concerned myself with the 24-36 hr install process, much less more than one reboot. Personally, I don't believe protecting mundane texts' contents for the time being is worth the 7-step daily Messages install cycle, although to some that sounds counterproductive to Graphene as a whole
Think about it: If a workaround is not found, you will be needing to re-install Messages every day for 7 years.
I think I'll give up before 7 years. : -)
At this point, I could live with falling back to SMS, until Graphene develops a fix. But as I've said, group chats don't fall back to MMS. Instead they just break. Getting them working seems to require all the people in the chat deleting the chat on their phone and then creating a new one. And even that I'm not sure will work, especially with iPhone users. Getting people to do this is not easy. I already did it once, to get RCS working again, after I had it off for several weeks, and I'm not sure people will have to patience to do it again. To me this is really the worst part of this problem, that group chats don't just fall back to MMS, the way individual chats fall back to SMS.
So the problems with RCS on Graphene are effectively breaking SMS/MMS also, for people who had been using RCS until in failed at the beginning of September. To me that's a pretty severe problen with Graphene at this point.
