I just did the latest update and it has crashed my phone, I managed to get it started again and it crashed again almost immediately. How do I fix it?

    DownUnder Could you please describe the crashes so that we can understand what is happening and assist you further? When are the crashes happening? Before you are booted to the lockscreen or after you unlock the phone? What messages are displayed? For instance, is it telling you about a kernel crash?

      Hi fid02, the first time as soon as it updated it showed the lock screen, the lock screen froze and the the screen went blank and the phone was unresponsive. I managed to get it to reboot by holding the power button for a few minutes, I unlocked the phone and as it was bringing up the wow weather display it crashed again, blank screen, totally unresponsive.

        That is all the info that I have, it is not giving crash logs. It is just crashing. If I can get it started in safe mode is there a way to back it up and transfer the backup to a desktop ?

          DownUnder if you can get into safe mode, I think you can move files to a USB drive using the Files app. But if safe mode works, you can uninstall or disable some apps to see if they're causing the crashes. Like, you can try disabling things like alternate launchers (after switching to the default one), or apps that run all the time in the background. You mentioned a weather app that shows up and then the phone crashes. You can try disabling that as well. You can also try resetting app preferences in Settings > System > Reset options > reset app preferences. Not sure if that would help but worth a shot.
