Installed the prerelease for 8a and after apparently successful install it just keeps rebooting after being on the graphene splash screen for 15-20 seconds

Any ideas?

@phArmstrong Are you sure you fully installed it and didn't interrupt the install? It reboots multiple times as part of installing the OS. Did it make it all the way back to the bootloader interface and the installer reported success?

Yes I confirmed it was completely finished. Tried twice it states "Flashed akita-factory-2024051500.zip to device." each time

This is approximately my 15th Graphene install. It was back to bootloader interface when done.

phArmstrong That's strange. We haven't seen any issues with it. Do you have the device locked or unlocked when you're trying to boot?

@phArmstrong Did you update the stock OS before flashing GrapheneOS? One possibility is that our factory images are missing a firmware image and it doesn't work if you didn't update the stock OS first.

I completely updated factory OS before installing GOS

Boot Loader is set back to locked when booting GOS.

When I boot into recovery it says "No command" with an icon of an android with an open panel and red exclamation triangle

phArmstrong That's expected and means it works. You can access the menu by holding power and pressing volume up.

Can you go back to the bootloader interface and try installing GrapheneOS one more time? We just released the first update, 2024051502.
